The growth of technology is unstoppable and the advent of new media has also set in with both the good and bad. As we are able to connect with family and friend through the new media using myspace, linkedin, facebook and twitter huddles, the aspect of content regulation remain a major issue for developers.

This is because new media is subject to abuse. I Just got this photo of the president of Uganda Photo-shopped depicting him as a mad man seated on a garbage bin. Though there's freedom of expression in the country but a shot like this one is a complete abuse not only to the president but the abuse to the new media.

These challenges need to be addressed soon as possible because it builds a negative mind set on the population let alone eroding the cultural valuerespect and co-existance in society. Am glad that facebook and the likes are working on issues of ensuring that their users are regulated/controlled
