BBA Star, Mwisho Harrassed By Police In Namibia

Former BBA housemate from Tanzania, Mwisho Mwampamba, had what most people would call a happy ending, his romance with fellow housemate Meryl Shikwambane from Namibia, which was sparked during the show, had managed to go on even after the show, they got married and have two kids together.
There marriage had also prompted him(Mwisho) to relocate to Meryl’s home country in Namibia.

But it seems that their happy ending is now getting disrupted by a scourge that is common in South African countries, Xenophobia. The Tanzanian housemate took to his Facebook page to rant about the harassment he has been receiving:

“Now Namibia is independent I see xenophobia kicking in! Police come to my house and tell me I should go back to my country! Mistreatment at the border! I only get 2 months visa tho I’m sadc n married to a Namibian ! My question is where did all ur veterans come from? Exile kids ? U treat ur former colonisers better than u treat us ur liberators ! Its always embarrassing to see how now Namibians and south Africans tre”

He added that: “Namibians and South Africans treat us other Africans like monkeys now that ur independent!! Forgetting so soon how we helped u get independence even tho we were poor n hungry ourselves! Its ok we did coz it was the right thing to do not to get ur gratitude! But we do expect at least respect n to be treated as humans! Thot of all people u guys wud understand!”

Exactly a month after the BBA –The Chase finals when housemates came together to support the the final five in South Africa, some of the housemates have converged together again in Ghana. The housemates have reunited again but this time not to compete but to party in Ghana with both past and current Big Brother housemates. The housemate will also join Ghana’s female representative, Selly Ghalley to celebrate her 26th birthday scheduled for Friday September 27 at the Exel Night Club in Airport. The housemates arrived in Ghana on Wednesday evening September 25. They will join Big Brother Amplified housemate and CEO of Aphrodisiac Night Club Confidence Haugen On Saturday September 28. Confidence will host the housemates inside her Aphrodisiac Night for the grand “After Chase” Party where housemate will party with other celebrities and their fans. We are also told that all past Ghanaian BBA housemate including Sammy B, Kwaku T, Mimi now known as Habiba, DKB, Eazzy and Keitta have all been invited to the big BBA party. The housemate will then have an autograph signing and photograph opportunity with their fans at Mamaga restaurant inside Aphrodisiac building in Accra on Sunday afternoon September 29. They will have a taste of great Ghanaian dishes from Confidence's new Mamaga restaurant and feel the internationally acclaimed Ghanaian hospitality. This season’s BBA winner, Dillish (Namibia) Bolt (Sierra Leone), Melvin,(Nigeria) Sulu, (Zambia) Natasha, (Malawi) Bassey, (Sierra Leone) and Maria(Namibia) have all confirmed their coming and are expected to grace the occasion. "Queen of Swag" Pokello from Zimbabwe who is already in Ghana will also join the party with her lover Elikem. Big Brother Africa star, Prezzo wanted by Kenyan Police for assaulting military officer

According to Kenya’s Standard Digital, the former reality TV star who was romantically linked to late Nigerian pop star Goldie, is on the run after he engaged in a gun battle outside a club in the Westlands area, Nairobi, Kenya. The media agency stated that Prezzo (Jackson Makini) is to report to Parklands Police Station for questioning for assaulting a Swiss Military Officer in the head with a rifle butt and handgun holster on the early hours of Saturday 21st September 2013.

The musician and the Swiss officer allegedly engaged in a heated argument over a parking slot near a club at about 3 AM. Vitalis Otieno, Gigiri Division Police head in Nairobi, said the musician obstructed the military officer from Switzerland, which caused the argument. Vitalis told press that “When the military officer came back ready to go, an argument broke out over the parking slot which degenerated to an assault using a gun. We want him to report at Parklands.”

The Swiss officer who was going to Ethiopia on that Saturday morning, canceled his flight. Vitalis Otieno said he was treated and has been discharged from an hospital. Officers reportedly visited his home, but he wasn’t there.

Winner of the 2013 Big Brother Africa Reality Show (The Chase), Dillish has opened up on her father’s sudden appearance into her life after she she emerged winner of the hit TV Reality Show.

Speaking to Joy News, the Namibian winner, said "joining Big Brother has only sped up the process of meeting my father and I’m blessed and I thank God for bringing him back to my life.”.

His father, Abdi Galgalo Guyo, a Kenyan ex-soldier met her mother Selma Pashukeni after 23 years of separation.

Dillish Matthews was declared winner of the eighth season of the Big Brother Africa (The Chase) Reality Show last August after she beat four other finalists - Elikem, Cleo, Melvin and Beverly - to win the US$300,000 grand prize.

Dillish believes opening up about her father has made her "an ambassador for people who are shy of coming out to say they have never met their parents before".

She made this remark on her arrival in Ghana for the birthday celebrations of their Ghanaian housemate, Selly. The party comes off at Excel Lounge Friday night.

Selly says BBA housemates are coming for the party to prove they are determined to stick together forever even as the hit Reality TV show is over.

Dillish and former housemates, Melvin and Maria were met at the Kotoka International Airport on Wednesday evening by Selly, fellow BBA housemates, Elikem and Pokello and a cross-section of the media.

M.C for the birthday party is Nigeria's Uti Nwachuku who is Big Brother All Star winner. He told Joy News he couldn't resist attending the party after Selly invited him.

He said “you know as a senior in the game (BBA) I just couldn’t resist my small sister's (Selly) demand, she booked me as M.C and I am here to make it happen. You know Ghana is my second home”

Meanwhile Dillish, (Portuguese for sweet) says she is working on opening more hair salons across Namibia with part of the 300,000 dollars she won at the TV Reality Show.

Angelo Collins coming to Nigeria

Nigeria's Female representative to this year's Big Brother Africa, Beverly must be itching to see her housemate lover right now.

After this year's BBA was over, both Angelo Collins and Beverly have been granting interviews. While Beverly has been busy apologizing to Nigerians on her escapades with the dreads-carrying dude, Angelo on his own part has been telling the whole world how much he's fallen in love with her.

And now, we learnt that Angelo is on his way to Nigeria to see Beverly.

According to our source, his first stop over will be in Ghana, to catch up with his fans who have invited him over, grant few interviews and then have a nice time.

Then, he leaves for Nigeria and we learnt that he has been keeping in touch with Bev who is seriously preparing to give her Romeo a grand welcome.

The Ghanaian tailor, together with his new found love Pokello Nare, Zimbabwe's representative in the reality show, have kicked start the tour to party with fans who have held their backs while they were in the Big Brother house.

Daniel Philips, CEO of MML Enterprise sole distributors of Royalty Cocktails, during the donation of several cartoons of assorted Royalty Cocktails explained that the company is impressed with Elikem's performance in the reality show.

He noted that Elikem making it to the finale, the first Ghanaian to do so, is no easy feat adding he believes it will inspire future Ghanaian hopefuls to reality show to win the money.

Elikem and Pokello on Friday night welcomed some friends, and associates of theirs to the Confidence Haugen-owned Aphrodisiac Night Club, as they partied all night, in the first of four welcome parties planned for the reality couple. Bola Ray, actor Lil Win, ex-Black Stars player Laryea Kingston, Kwaw Kese and some regualr faces at the facility joined them to kick off the four-city club tour.

Gaetano of BBA Fame To Host Club Music Video Awards

Former Big Brother Africa contestant Gaetano Kaggwa is going to host Club Music Video Awards 2013.

The award giving ceremony is allegedly going to be produced by the same producers of Channel O Awards.

Now, Gaetano, who is most remembered for his role in Big Brother Africa 1 where he had an explicit relationship with South African Abby, is going to be the host of the ceremony.

A Nairobi based radio presenter and emcee, Gaetano has already arrived in the country ahead of the big day as preparations take place. He is married to Enid Keishemeza and together, they live in South Africa.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on 30th September 2013 at UMA main hall.
